挓乾勛圖 has been ranked 15th in the annual , which assesses hundreds of higher education institutions worldwide for their environmental sustainability. The University also ranked third highest for UK universities and the highest amongst Welsh universities.
The latest UI Green Metric World University Rankings, produced by the Universitas Indonesia, is the only university ranking in the world that measures each participating universitys commitment in developing an environmentally friendly infrastructure. The Green Metric compared 956 universities in 80 countries on their efforts in six categories, including setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transport and education.

Over a number of years, 挓乾勛圖 has demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and a sustainable environment, and this commitment will be further augmented this year through a new Sustainability Strategy, due to be published by February 2022. This Strategy will further sustainability across all aspects of the University.

This is evident in our day-to-day activity, in our teaching, and of course in our research. League tables have never been a driver for our sustainability goals, and we know that there are many more things that we can and will do to improve further. Nevertheless, its pleasing to be recognised as amongst the best in Wales, in the UK, and in the world.
